When the pandemic shuttered Nevada businesses’ doors in March of 2020, Matt Balzer, owner of Reno Running Company, wasn’t sure his business would survive.

Matt worried for his employees, and the future of his family. Luckily, after partnering with Greater Nevada Credit Union and Greater Commercial Lending, he was able to utilize the funds he obtained through a PPP loan to keep his store operational, and his employees paid.

“With the need for the PPP loan, we just found the process impossible through a large national bank,” Balzer said. “[Greater Commercial Lending] is very different from other [lenders] we’ve banked with in the past. It’s much more of a personal relationship. They want to see our business succeed and grow.”
